Our Commitment

Nuisance Wildlife NC is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we continually work to improve the accessibility of our site.

What We Are Doing

  • Using semantic HTML structure and proper heading hierarchy on all pages
  • Providing descriptive alt text for images
  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Designing all interactive elements to be keyboard accessible
  • Using ARIA labels and landmarks where appropriate
  • Ensuring forms have properly associated labels
  • Designing pages to be readable at 200% browser zoom

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the site may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and remediate any gaps. Areas under ongoing improvement include: legacy PDF documents, third-party embedded content, and some user-uploaded images.
